Korkor Kofi was born in 1973 and is a single mother. Her sons Richard and Emanuel are both studying.
Although Korkor does not speak a word of English, and is one of our more recent employees, she has already moved up to our top 10 of very best manufacturers.
She works hard to afford education for her boys and also makes beads next to the jewellery production, which she sells on the market in Koforidua on Thursdays.
Like all the other women, Korkor dreams of the day she will be able to afford building her own house. She is currently living in an extended family house, which is a large centre courtyard house with a lot of approx. 15 m2 rooms, of which each family shares one room. The cooking is done outdoors in the common courtyard over a small fireplace.
