How do you send glasses and lamps without them breaking?
We send glasses and lamps out to our customers every day, and we have found the best way to protect them from breaking. Our package filling is 100% degradable. Unfortunately, we have not yet found a sustainable alternative to bubble wrap - but we are working hard towards that. However, if something in your parcel broke unexpectedly, send a picture to kundeservice@pernillebulow.dk, and we will replace the product.
Can I order other colours than those on the website?
On our website, you can find a wide selection of the products we make. But we cannot always keep up with new colours or colour combinations. So, feel free to contact us at info@pernillebulow.dk if you have seen a colour in the store that you cannot find on the website – we can always make it for you.
What if I already have some glasses that I would like to order more of?
All our glasses are mouth-blown, and over time there may be slight differences in the measurements of the different glasses. Many of our customers find this charming and see it as a unique characteristic of handmade glass. Nonetheless, we understand that you want new glasses that fit the ones you already have. In that case, you can write the desired measurements in the comments field, and we will make matching ones.
How do I exchange an item?
If you regret a purchase from us, you are always welcome to return the items. We will help with either exchanging the items or refunding your money. Please use the original packaging when returning items. You bear the costs for shipping. When will my order be shipped?
If we have all the products from your order in stock, your order will be shipped the business day after you placed it. If we do not have them in stock, you will receive an email the business day after your order with the expected delivery time.
Can I use a gift card for the online shop in the physical stores on Bornholm?
Unfortunately, if you have a gift card issued to our online shop, we cannot accept it in our physical stores. But you can write to kundeservice@pernillebulow.dk and provide the gift card number to exchange it for one that you can use in the physical stores.
Can I pick up my order in a physical store?
Yes, you can always choose "pick up in store" as the delivery method and pick up your order at Brænderigænget 8 in Svaneke during opening hours. That way, you save on shipping costs. Your items are ready for you once you have received an email informing you that they can be collected.
Can I buy new bulbs for my SKY lamps and ReUse lamps from you?

Are the glasses dishwasher safe? / How do I avoid corrosion?
Glass fever – a milky, hazy discoloration of the glass – does not occur during glass production. According to the Research Institutes of Sweden, RISE , glass fever occurs due to a combination of high dishwashing temperatures and dishwasher detergent. Unfortunately, environmentally friendly, phosphate-free dishwashing soap is particularly hard on glass.
When washing above 52 degrees Celsius in the dishwasher, the surface structure of the glass can open, and dirty water can enter. When the glass cools down again, the surface structure contracts, and the dirt gets enclosed.
Glass fever can occur in both the cheapest factory-made glass and the most expensive handmade glass.
We cannot replace glass that has developed glass fever since the problem lies within the individual dishwasher and the detergent used.
If you want to maintain your fine, glossy glass, we recommend washing them in the dishwasher at 50 degrees maximum or by hand.
How do I change the bulbs in my lamps?
Our lamps always come with instructions on how to separate the dome from the socket to either clean it or change the bulb. If you have lost the instruction, you can download it here:

How do I clean the glass sphere of my SKY lamp?
For exterior cleaning, we recommend wiping it down with window cleaner and a dry cloth. For cleaning the inside of the lampshade, you can use some lukewarm water and, if necessary, a drop of dishwashing soap which you can apply using a bottle cleaner.
Where do I buy Pernille Bülow’s Design Line products?
Pernille Bülow’s Design line is a simple and stylish design series ofglass products designed by Pernille Bülow and produced abroad. Sandblasting andgrinding are carried out at our workshop in Bornholm. The design series is soldin our summer shops in Snogebæk, Allinge and Boderne. How do I prevent my candleholders from bursting?
Avoid burning candles allthe way down into the candle holder, as the heat can cause it to burst due.Consider using self-extinguishing candles.
What is the best method toclean sandblasted products?
Clean with common dishsoap, dry and apply ordinary moisturiser afterwards. Remove excess moisturiserusing a non-linting cloth.
Correct use of Re:use oil lamps:
Do not put too much oil in the oil lamp (max. 3 cm from the bottom). The wick/flame must not be too long.
How far apart do the Walltealight holders need to be?
When hanging the Walltealight holders in a vertical line, the single “tiles” should be at least 25cm apart.
